Keith Powell
Guest Director
Keith Powell is the founder and Producing Artistic Director for Contemporary Stage Company in Wilmington, Delaware, where he produced and directed performances starring seasoned stage veterans Lynn Redgrave, Keith David, Jasmine Guy, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Richard Easton. In fall 2008, he will create and direct a new musical by Kyle Jarrow and Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik at the Stamford Center For The Arts.
Keith received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at New York University's Tisch School Of The Arts. Early producing credits include New York productions of The Mouse That Roared, Enter Pissarro, Indra & Agni Collide, and a workshop of Kidding Jane with Ellen McLaughlin and William Charles Mitchell.
As an actor, Keith can be seen on NBC's Emmy Award-winning "30 Rock" as Toofer. He has appeared in numerous national network commercials, including a spokesperson spot for Starburst television and radio. Theater credits include Romeo & Juliet (The Shakespeare Theatre, Washington, DC), Kidding Jane (Portland Stage Company), Macbeth (Pittsburgh Public Theater), As Bees In Honey Drown (Hangar Theater, Ithaca, NY), and The French (HB Playwrights Foundation, NYC) among others. Keith appeared on The Guiding Light, Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
He is a member of Actors Equity Association and The Screen Actors Guild.
