Heather Dyas-Fried
Artistic Coordinator
Heather is a founding member of Equalogy, inc. Over the past 10 years, she has performed Equalogy's original plays in 14 states. Heather also casts, trains, directs, and manages the actors on the tour. Heather has 15 years of experience utilizing educational theatre to raise awareness around the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault, having begun this important work as an intern. She has performed for all age groups from preschoolers to senior citizens. Prior to working with Equalogy, she was the Community Education Coordinator and Presenter for six years at a shelter for battered women/rape crisis center. Heather has a BA in Theatre Arts from Bloomsburg University. When not working in theatre for social change, Heather stays busy with other acting projects in television, film and theatre. In Philadelphia area theatres, she has played Nan/Lina in "Three Days of Rain", Brooke in "Noises Off", Callie in "Stop Kiss" and Helen in "Trojan Women" at the International Festival of Ancient Greek Drama in Cyprus.
